  • Host your own show in Radio Amigos, live or prerecorded, and broadcast it over the Internet and ELHC subspaces. 

    * If you are planning to stream live, you will be required to do a broadcasting test before starting.

    - Create a demo show in mp3. It should last between 5 and 10 minutes.

MUEBLES SULLIVAN

  • The subspace works in order to host all kinds of events and projects; there are Wi-Fi, electronic plugs, lamps, projector, speakers, a stove, oven, restroom, etc.. The size of the place facilitates it's activation, the sidewalk can be used.

    There are different options to use the space:

    1. Public Events:

    1.1 Within the operating hours:

    - For free.

    - The current fixed menu will be available.

    * Request at least one week in advance.

    ** If the event implies the sale of products and therefore generates income for the organizers, we will charge 20% of the total sales of similar products (food or drinks) and 10% of the total sales of different products.


    1.2 Outside the operating hours

    - Minimal consumption ($2,000.00)

    * Deposit of $1,000.

    ** If the event implies the sale of products and therefore generates income for the organizers, we will charge 20% of the total sales of similar products (food or drinks) and 10% of the total sales of different products.


    2. Private events:

    2.1 Within the operating hours:

    - Rent the whole subspace ($5,000.00): Includes staff.

    * The rent of $5,000.00 has to be paid in advance.


    2.2 Outside the operating hours: 

    - Minimal consumption ($3,000.00)

    * Deposit of $1.500.


    - Rent the whole subspace ($3,500.00): Includes staff.

    ** The rent of $3,500.00 has to be paid in advance.

    *** Corkage is only allowed on this option and the price per bottle is $150.00 (does not include sodas).


    Note:

     1. If the event is on a holiday, the rent will increase $1,000.00.


    Conditions:

    - The operating hours are from 8 AM - 10 PM.
    - The available schedules for events are from 8 Am - 2 AM any day of the week. Any other time table requires previous planning and has to be scheduled in advance.
    - Any damage on the subspace or on the equipment due to the event has to be covered by the responsible of the event.
    - The staff won't take responsibility over any forgotten items.
    - In case of not covering the minimum consumption, the responsible has to cover the difference.
    - There is no extension within the opening hours.
    - The audio volume is controlled by MUEBLES SULLIVAN.
    - The staff of MUEBLES SULLIVAN will be in charge of the space at all times.
    - Any other request has to be authorized previously.
    - In case of canceling the event, the cancellation has to be announced at least 3 days in advance. If that is not the case we will charge $2,000.00 of penalty in order to cover the operating expenses.

  • We rent the furniture we have at stock for your event.

    The cost of the furniture is 10% of its value per 24 hours.

     

    Conditions:

    - The order has to be made at least one week days in advance.

    - You have to leave a deposit or sign an IOU for the 100% of the value. In case of any damage caused to the furniture, 100% of its value has to be covered.

    - Any other kind of requirement has to be authorized previously.

    - Transport is not included. (The furniture has to be picked up and brought back to MUEBLES SULLIVAN).

  • Upstairs, there is a private accommodation for two people with Wi-Fi, electrical outlets, lamps, tables, chairs, stove, coffee machine, refrigerator, bathroom, plants and a terrace which can be rented by night, week or month (residency).

    - A HISTORY OF THE COLOR RED (10 de abril de 2014)

    The story of the color red is one of secrecy, power, status, subjugation and dramatic shifts in value. Today at Cafe Zena I offer a meal consisting of dishes from four of the countries who were vying to dominate the domesticated cochineal trade in the early 1800s - JAVA (then a Dutch colony), GUATEMALA, Spain via the CANARY ISLANDS and MEXICO. Each dish was altered to include either nopal (which the cochineal bug feeds on) or cochineal dye. I have translated elements of the story of cochineal into table setting, hybrid dishes and an abbreviated timeline.

    Tierrabomba (July - June 2014)
    A cooking project inspired by the food of the primitive man, the landscapes and cutures of the Mexican costs and highlands.

    BABA (7th of July 2014 - 19th of July 2014)
    It is a two week art project in COMEDOR CAFÉ INTERNET CAFÉ ZENA. The chef Kenny Curran and the artist PJ Rountree collaborated on a sculptural installation offered creative food in a new format with the intention to create a fun and memorable experience for customers.

    A catering and pastries project.

    - Jorge Juárez (July 2013 - June 2014)
    After his undergrad studies in tourism and cuisine, Jorge worked as assistant for chefs Hervé Aubry (France) and Magda Pablo (Mexico). Later he was responsible for various projects of organic food and Slow Food in Mexico and Costa Rica. During his time as a chef in the COMEDOR CAFÉ INTERNET CAFÉ ZENA, suggested menus with good quality ingredients and a Mexican accent.

    Pichón (July 2012 - June 2013)
    An American brunch.

    - Kenneth D. Curran. (July 2012 - June 2013)
    After studying art in the United States Kenny was interested in cooking. He worked in various restaurants after college. In Mexico, Kenny decided to devote himself to the kitchen and was subchef at MOG. While being chef at 
    COMEDOR CAFÉ INTERNET CAFÉ ZENA he developed food for CBR and co-founded Pichón; he developed an international menu for comida corrida, moving freely across all the continents of the world. He also collaborated with artist PJ Rountree on a six days culinary project at COMEDOR CAFÉ INTERNET CAFÉ ZENA entitled Estaciones Sazones, implementing sculptural elements, musical programming and a conceptual menu.

    - Marco Chávez (February 2012 - June 2012) 
    Graduated from Centro de Estudios Superiores de San Ángel (CESSA) in 2012. He worked as a trainee at Restaurant Rock MOO (Barcelona, Spain) with the Roca brothers in 2010, at Pangea (Monterrey, Mexico) restaurant with chef Guillermo Gonzalez Beristain in 2011, and in 2012 he was chef at COMEDOR CAFÉ INTERNET CAFÉ ZENA. He's currently working as Chef de Partie at Mr and Mrs Bund (Shanghai, China), ranked  43 in The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2013, list sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna.

    - Rent the whole space ($4,500.00): Includes the staff. The current fixed menu won't be available. An independent deal can be settled with the current Chef or Project.

    * The rent has to be paid in advance.

    ** If the event implies the sale of products and therefore generates income for the organizers, we will charge 20% of the total sales of similar products (food or drinks) and 10% of the total sales of different products.

    2.1 Within the operating hours:

    - Rent the whole space ($12,000.00): Includes staff. The current fixed menu won't be available. An independent deal can be settled with the current Chef or Project.

    * The rent has to be paid in advance.


    2.2 Outside the operating hours: 

    - Minimal consumption ($5,500.00): The current fixed menu will be available.

    * Deposit of $2,500.

    - Renta the whole space ($5,500.00): Includes staff. The current fixed menu won't be available. An independent deal can be settled with the current Chef or Project.

    ** The rent has to be paid in advance.

    *** Corkage is only allowed on this option and the price per bottle is $150.00 (does not include sodas).


    Conditions:

    - The operating hours are Monday to Sunday from 9 am - 5 pm.

    - The available schedules for events are from 9 am - 2 am. Any other timing requires previous planning and has to be scheduled in advance.

    - Any damage on the space or on the equipment due to the event has to be covered by the responsible of the event.

    - The staff won't take responsibility over any forgotten items.

    - In case of not covering the minimum consumption, the responsible has to cover the difference.

    - There is no extension within the opening hours.

    - The doors towards Gobernador Protasio Tagle and General Antonio León have to remain closed in order to not bother the neighbors.

    - The audio volume is controlled by the CAFÉ WI-FI CAFÉ ZENA.

    - The staff of CAFÉ WI-FI CAFÉ ZENA will be in charge at all times.

    - Any other request has to be authorized previously.

    - The cancellation of an event has to be notified 3 days in advance. If that is not the case, $2,500 Pesos will be charged in order to cover the operation expenses.
